Happy clients here

I just want to say thank you again – it is beautiful, this new front page and the whole brochure. I am looking at it and thinking how lucky I am to have a killer designer on my side.

Jill Hannan’s Website
Posted in: Projects, Websites by Paul McEwan on March 15, 2011 | No Comments
The Client: Jill Hannan (View the website)
Project Description: This website project was done through TribalYells’ own Custom Template Package System we call the Custom Power Brand Website. A system of proofing and communication that keeps you the client involved yet doesn’t leave you feeling too bogged down with having to answer questions every few hours.
We have done enough custom websites to know what it takes to create them and have put together the Custom Power Brand package. There is no way to package design but there are ways to package the process and communication. We have refined that process to be efficient and cost effective. Here is what you get:
- Wire Frame: Line drawing for rough layout, menu items, placement of lead-ins and other aspects of your website. We move onto the mock-up once this is approved.
- Mock-Up: A scaled image of your website based on the approved Wire Frame. This gives you a detailed visual of most design elements.
- PSD2MRP: Photoshop Document to myRealPage: Includes all the coding necessary to make your new website look like the approved mock-up and work on the myRealPage platform.
- 4 pages content insertion: Content is anything supplied by you over and above what’s already on your website. This could include Youtube video, pre-defined searches, copy, links.
Jill Hannan was already a myRealPage site owner. That helped with this project. All her content was already in place and we were able to apply the new design right around it.

Brian and Joe Kim are here
Posted in: Projects, Websites by Paul McEwan on March 9, 2011 | No Comments
The Client: Brian and Joe Kim
Project Description: Moving from another website provider isn’t easy if your web development team isn’t on the ball. Our process helps you make that move which is what Brain and Joe Kim found. They wanted as many of their clients to be right on the front page as possible and any one looking to be able to start a search immediately. Almost any provider can offer what they wanted but in all cases the customization is outrageously expensive so they moved to myRealPage and asked us to integrate their branding with development requests. Another Custom Power Brand website by TribalYell.
We did a behind the scenes video of how easy it is for the owners to edit this Custom Power Branded website here.
Client Testimonial: We greatly enjoyed working with TribalYell and would recommend anyone looking to have a custom website built to look closely at what they offer. The process is easy to follow and we appreciated their patience and ability to guide us through to the end. The TribalYell Learn-How-Now screen cast tutorial was an added and unexpected bonus. We now have email leads through the website!

The Client: Debra Klassen
Project Description: Real estate development branding, naming and advertising. After going through the project naming process and then developing the tag line we had fun creating the first of a series of full page advertisements. Here is one of them.
Manny and Jay Dot CA
Posted in: Projects, Websites by Paul McEwan on January 10, 2011 | No Comments
Client: Manny and Jay www.mannyandjay.ca
Project Description: Custom Power Brand myRealPage Website built on the myRealPage platform websites for real estate.
Manny and Jay weren’t sure what they wanted but they know what they like and sent me some links to websites that appealed to them. The common ground to all the websites I was sent to view was that they were all friendly and personable. Our perception was that they wanted to come across as friendly and easy to approach. We gave this myRealPage website big easy navigation, an easy way to contact them and it’s immediately apparent who their visitors would be dealing with.
There is a trend afoot for a REALTOR® to ask for their picture not to be present on their website and unless the site is chock full of videos of themsleves this is not a good idea to implement. Real Estate is part of an industry that requires personal recognition to elicit an emotional response.
A single picture is not the complete answer but surely having no picture on a REALTOR® website can wind up looking like a broker’s website or some other corporate entity with all it’s bureaucratic charm. There are completely different ways to treat that sort of site to engage visitors and a single person or small team needs a personal approach. As successful as some of these sites appear to be, in this day and age of authenticity and transparency I question how much more successful they would be if the emotional response aligned with real people and not just investors.
Agents are all selling the same thing. The service they supply on an individual level is the only defining factor. We believe Manny and Jay’s personality show immediatly and give a person a sense of ease of the real estate process.

Sargeant Real Estate Consultants

The Client: Stacey Cheng & Louis Sargeant: RE/MAX Real Estate Services
Project Description: Build a new theme for an updated branding on the myRealPage Website for REALTORS® platform.
A website is never finished and anyone who tells you differently is either
- A) not experienced in web site publishing,
- B) building websites like they are print material
- C) building all their websites in Flash.
- D) Stocking their portfolio.
We adhere strongly to the “publish quick and publish often” sentiment. Publishing often and quickly has many benefits which include added interest for your visitors and activity for search engine ranking. Most of our websites are designed to be added to easily without the need for a re-design. Sargeant Real Estate Consultants website is not finished and it was designed that way. The longer it is published, the more live updates it will get and the better it will look and read. We just didn’t want to wait to put it on our portfolio – which is why we call the page Projects

Project Description: This website project was done through TribalYells’ own Custom Template Package System. A system of proofing and communication that keeps you the client involved yet doesn’t leave you feeling too bogged down with having to answer questions every few hours. You get on with your business while we get on with our business of creating a new look and feel based on the steps taken in the Custom Template Package System. Before and After:
Java Music Club Website
Posted in: Websites by Paul McEwan on November 15, 2010 | No Comments
Project Description: The Java Music Club is a research-based program that offers an enhanced group environment giving residents living in facilities both a voice and the opportunity to provide mutual support. What sets the Java Music Club apart is a unique and dynamic combination of components which serves to empower residents. The Java Music Club offers mutual help, role models, installs hope, validation of experiences and a sense of belonging, all in one package.
This is the website portion of this project which began first as a creative brief, logo illustration, branding and layout of all marketing materials and finally the website. The website was the easiest part to do since the client was well prepared with content and all other marketing pieces had been designed it was just a matter of transferring that look and feel. This is a WordPress website.
Client Testimonial: “just want to say thank you again – it is beautiful, this new front page and the whole brochure. I am looking at it and thinking how lucky I am to have a killer designer on my side.” ~ Kristine Theurer, Java Music Club
Monika Furtado

The Client: Monika Furtado (Calgary real estate)
Project Description: This, believe it or not, is not an uploaded custom template. This work was performed as Advanced Administration within the myRealPage login and billed by the hour. Monika sent me an email with her branded mailers attached and asked us to make the website look the same. We widened the website from 750px to 960px, altered the existing website colours, background, links and fonts and reformatted content areas.
See a large image here.
Client Testimonial: “Paul was able to work with me in helping me stage my design concepts to fit both my goals and my budget. The results were great, on time and addressed all my goals. I look forward to working with Paul again on the next design feature.”
